"Drunks Beware Trip Hazard"

Drunks Beware Trip Hazard
New Orleans streets have never been known as a shining example of great maintenance. That’s why many of the local TV news stations have hotlines to report potholes and other road hazards that don’t include drunks falling in front of your car.

One much overlooked problem involves the sidewalks. Any drunk who knows enough to stay off the street and on the sidewalks aren’t safe from unexpected trips and falls. Heck we have a spot on the corner of Bourbon & St. Peter in front of Cat’s that I am notorious for tripping over while talking to visitors. Sober or drinking I seem to catch that one spot at least once a show.

Something had to be done! One resident has taken action to prevent unnecessary injury at their residence: a simple stencil and orange warning paint to mark the problem area. Heading to the show I noticed it down the block with plenty of time to get the camera out and ready before arriving to the area.

Remember kids, watch where you step… and look out for cars… don’t forget pick-pockets… and loose women… hell just stay inside and drink.
